Praise - An Act Of Faith In God Almighty

by stepswithgod.com

Do you believe in God Almighty? If you do, then you should be a praiser of God. Praising God is an act of faith in God and His ability to do what He said He will do. If you believe, you will praise the Lord. This article emphasizes the need for you to praise the Father as a believing Christian.

And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah's womb. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God - Romans 4:19-20.NKJV).

Nor complain, as some of them also complained, and were destroyed by the destroyer - I Corinthians 10:10 (NKJV).

Many Christians say they believe God and His words but their actions say otherwise. They are more in doubt than, they are in the faith. The challenges around them are choking the word in them and they have forgotten that the just shall live by his own faith (Habakkuk 2:4) and that without faith no man can please God (Hebrews 11:6). If you believe, you will open your mouth wide and declare it, 2 Corinthians 4:13.

Praise unto the Lord declares Him bigger than all

Praise, especially when you are challenged, shows that God is bigger than your problems. But when you complain and murmur, you are saying that the problem is bigger than God. Paul and Silas were locked up in prison for preaching the gospel. Instead of murmuring against God, they chose to praise Him. They saw Him as being bigger than the chains and truly, He manifested Himself bigger by breaking the chains and opening the doors of the prison-house, Acts 16:25-26.

Praise unto God expresses your faith in God's words

If you believe that God is able to do what He had said you will praise Him. Abraham showed that he had faith in God by giving glory to the Lord even though he was yet to receive the promised child. He didn't murmur or complain; rather he was persuaded that the Lord who promised was able to do even as he had promised. His faith in God's words gave birth to Isaac - Romans 4:17-21.

If you believe, you will praise!

Praise unto God is one of the proofs that you believe in Him. Challenges in your life test your faith in God. If you are able to praise Him in spite of them, then you believe in Him. Praise says a lot about what you know of the Lord. How much of the Father you know and believe determines the exploits you command and the testimonies that follow, Daniel 11:32.

Praises unto God get the devil off your back

God inhabits the praises of His people and is drawn where there is faith, while the enemy dwells in the atmosphere of doubts and unbelief. The devil disappears where there is faith and that includes where there is praise unto the Lord. This was demonstrated when David played music before King Saul. Each time Saul was tormented by this evil spirit and David played the instruments, the evil spirit left Saul (1 Samuel 16:14-23). David is known as an ardent praiser of the Almighty, so surely he must have been praising God the times he played before Saul.

In conclusion, praise Jesus no matter what the situation may be. You express your faith in God and His words when you do so. Be assured that praise will always bring you out of the pit for it pleases Jesus. Lift your hands up in praise unto the Lord today and He will lift you out of any challenge you may be in presently.
